These designers have forged products that have been seamlessly integrated into our lives. Their objects and images have become so much a part of our visual vocabulary that we forget that there was once someone there to plan, edit and create them. The innumerable logos, book covers, typefaces, chairs, buildings, shoes, and furniture featured in this list have gone on to not only outlive their creators, but take on a personality and life of their own.
