Art is NOT Design but There is a Connection

The highest price paid for the work of an American artist happened last week when Jean Micheal Basquiat's untitled painting sold for $110 million. Two other artist, Picasso and Andy Warhol 20th century artist captured and defined here times.

Picasso reflected the birth of Modernism, Warhol mirrored the Post-Modern era's break with the past, and Basquiat's aesthetic expresses the graffiti/hip hop/urban inspired aesthetic of the 21st century.
